At 70ft in length, the Sunrise is a large, stable diving platform, self contained, with all facilities close at hand; the most comfortable live-aboard in the Islands. Sunrise veterans will know that this heavy boat feels only the slightest effects of bad weather.

The boat is laid out on two levels: under the Shelter deck is the day accommodation whilst below are the cabins and engine room.

The Sunrise is based in Stromness but can operate anywhere within the island group, travelling wherever whimsy takes you. We will endeavour to visit some of the numerous different harbours or jetties within Scapa Flow during our lunch break or overnight. Most places we visit have easy access to pubs or hotels which sell good bar food, and shops for provisioning along with many points of interest enabling you to see more of Orkney. The weeks diving begins on the Sunday morning and you would expect to fit two dives, a break and travelling into any ten hour period. By staying in comfort aboard the boat, you have complete freedom of movement. There are no requirements making you get up early as the boat can be on the dive site before you get out of your bunk. All without the extra cost of bed and breakfast!

Food

Half board or self catering option available.

Half board consists of breakfast and lunch. Before leaving harbour in the morning, we serve cereals, toast and coffee/tea. After the first dive around lunchtime we serve a full cooked breakfast consisting of a.o. sausages, bacon, eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, potato croquettes and toast (may vary depending on availability). Vegetarian or other special dietary requirements catered for, please inform us when you book.
